Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any insulation work you hire Evergreen Petaluma Spray Foam Insulation to do. When you browse the site, ask for a quote or book a job, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you schedule anything.

If you sign a written estimate or job agreement with us, that document covers your specific job. Where it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Petaluma, CA, working in homes and businesses in Petaluma and the cities around it. Our work includes spray foam, blown-in and batt insulation, air sealing, which means closing gaps before we insulate, insulation removal, and crawl space vapor barriers. Our home page lists the services we offer, and our About page explains who we are and how our crew works.

The descriptions on this site are general. Every attic and crawl space is different, so what we'll do in your house is set by the estimate we give you after we've looked at it.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no obligation to hire us. The price depends on what we find, such as how big the space is, how much insulation is already up there and what shape it's in, how hard the space is to reach, and which material you choose.

An estimate is based on what we can see and reach during the visit. Some things only show up once the work starts, like old insulation that's been soaked or is full of droppings, buried eave vents, or damaged framing. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and explain the options. We won't do extra work or add charges unless you approve the change in writing.

An estimate stays good for the time written on it. After that, material prices may have changed, and we may need to update it.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you and give you an idea of how long the crew will be at your house. Weather, supply delays or conditions we find inside the job can move the schedule, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know.

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to clear stored items from the attic, garage or crawl space where we've asked. For spray foam jobs, you and everyone in the house, including pets, need to stay out until the re-entry time, the point when it's safe to come back. That time comes from the foam maker's instructions, and we'll tell you before the job starts.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (707) 238-6044 as early as you can, ideally at least two business days before the start date. If we've already ordered special materials for your job, your written agreement explains what costs, if any, you'll owe.

Payment

Your estimate or agreement shows the total, any deposit, and when each payment is due. Unless the written agreement says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished and we've walked through it with you.

If a payment is late, we'll contact you first to sort it out. Unpaid balances may lead to late fees as set out in your agreement, and we may use the remedies California law allows a contractor to collect payment for work performed.

Our work and warranty

We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind our work. Your satisfaction is guaranteed, which means if something we did isn't right, call us and we'll come back and make it right. Any written workmanship warranty for your job, and how long it lasts, is set out in your agreement.

Insulation materials carry their maker's warranty, not ours, and we'll pass along that information to you. Our warranty doesn't cover damage caused by roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, other contractors' work, or changes made to the area after we finish.

We don't promise a particular drop in your power bill or a specific temperature in any room, because those depend on many things outside our work, like your windows, your HVAC system and how you use the house. Apart from what's written in your agreement, the work and this website are provided without other warranties, to the extent California law allows.

Limits on our liability

We're responsible for damage our crew causes while working at your house, and our insurance is there for that. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost income, higher utility costs, or problems caused by conditions that existed before we started and that we didn't create.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with a job won't be more than what you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under California law that can't be waived.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand insulation work. It isn't advice for your house in particular, so please don't rely on it in place of an on-site look.

The text, photos and design on this site belong to Evergreen Petaluma Spray Foam Insulation. You may not copy or reuse them for business purposes without our written permission. Links to other websites are offered for convenience, and we aren't responsible for what's on them.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with anything, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest with a conversation and a return visit. If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court.

If a dispute does go to court, it will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Sonoma County, California, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here applies to your use of the site from the day it's posted, and a signed job agreement keeps the terms that were in place when you signed it.
